Asset visualization

It is hard to efficiently manage what you cannot see. Knowing who and what is where at all times therefor is a real gamechanger in conservation. If you need to physically check on a specific animal in your reserve at set intervals it is extremely helpful to know whereabout it can be found for example. Or when something needs to be picked up at a remote corner of the reserve it is great if you can send a vehicle that is close to that location. Not only does this make conservation on the ground a lot safer but a lot more costefficient as well. Nowadays, open source tools such as EarthRanger are extremly powerful tools for conservation areas and data integration into these platforms is becoming more straightforward every day.

Data-based decision making

The end goal of all collected data is to make decisions based on the data points that are coming in. These data points can come from physical data collection but also from tracking and monitoring sensors. Adigita can help you to visualise your data based on your priorities allowing you to take informed decisions.

Enabling conservation technology

Whether you are collecting data, tracking animals or visualising data to make inform decisions, it all starts with a basic understanding of how the tools that you use work. I have been training fieldrangers, ecomonitors, controlroom personell, protected area technicians and other individuals for many years and I would love to enable many more people to apply technology in nature conservation.

Applied conservation technology

From (Radio) communication , backbone networks, drones, asset tracking to camera trapping and geospatial technology, conservation technology as a field is about as wide as it gets. I have been lucky to have applied a wide variety of different technologies in the conservation field and I am planning to keep expand my knowledge just as conservation technology keeps expanding. Applying the right technology for the challenge, that is what it is all about.
